Biography

Ron Buliung studies the relationship between mobility (technologies and behaviours), accessibility (people reaching places, and places reaching people), urban form and design, and the daily lives of individuals and households. In recent work he has been looking at the ways in which ICT can be used to produce new mobilities, or ease the construction of "old"
mobilities (e.g., carpooling) , with a view to reducing the negative impacts of automobility. His research program is currently supported by SSHRC, NSERC, the Heart&Stroke Foundation, and the CIHR.
